My Moment of Clarity
NO LONGER WAS MY HEALTH ABOUT ME, MYSELF AND I.
"The night is darkest just before the dawn". For each of us this will mean something different. For me it suggests that a glimmer of light is imminent when life appears to be at its darkest point. I was going through a period of total self-abandonment after life took an unimaginable turn - but the dawn was just around the corner...
My InspirationMY INSPIRATION, MY THREE LITTLE BIRDS
THE BREAKING POINT
I am a father of two. My youngest daughter, Daisy, passed away at just 15 months old. She had spent 13 of those months in the hospital battling a rare genetic condition. During her short life, I was in survival mode—living minute by minute, hour by hour. During this period of mental and emotional stress, I was looking for comfort and as a result I completely neglected myself. My own health didn’t matter; only hers did.
After Daisy passed, the "vicious cycle" intensified. I was 25.5 stone (358 lbs / 162 kg). But as I looked at my eldest daughter—who was only five and had just lost her sister—I had a moment of terrifying clarity: It would be unthinkable for her to lose her father, too.

A Turning Point
CHOOSING A DIFFERENT PATH
I went to my GP intending to ask for weight loss surgery. The required blood tests revealed a grim reality: I had developed Type 2 Diabetes, fatty liver disease, abnormal cholesterol and high blood pressure. I felt a deep sense of shame. My mother and uncle had both passed away from complications of diabetes; I could see history repeating itself, and I knew I was contributing to my family's plight.
My doctor urged me to start lifelong medications, suggesting I could just "pop the pills" and not worry. Intuitively, that felt like the beginning of the end. I refused the prescriptions—except for blood pressure medication, which I no longer need—and decided to completely revamp my life.
No Surgery, no injections - I chose to stop fighting my body and start fuelling it.

The Starting Point
Real Food, Remarkable Changes
After an initial period of discipline, the biological effect of real food took hold. My energy surged, and the need for willpower faded as healthy choices started to feel natural. Ailments cleared, and my blood work improved rapidly. Good health was always the aim; fat loss was the inevitable reward.

The Results
Inner Peace, Outer Vigour
Using a low-carb lifestyle and intermittent fasting, I lost 168 lbs (12 stone) in just ten months. The "food noise" that had dominated my life for years simply silenced. I have kept the weight off, reclaimed my confidence, and even ran a half marathon. I have never felt more alive and in control.

Why I Mentor
YOU DON'T HAVE TO 'WHITE-KNUCKLE' YOUR WAY THROUGH FAT-LOSS
For a long time, I resisted suggestions to share my journey as a way to help others. I wasn't 'qualified' in a medical sense—'Why would anyone listen to me?' I often thought.
But I realised that while I am not a doctor, I have achieved exactly what so many are striving for. I've lived the struggle, felt the shame, and found a way out.
I'm here to offer you the tools, the experience and the empathy needed to break your own vicious-cycle for good. Fat-loss isn't a far-fetched ambition; once you understand the 'how', it becomes an inevitability.
If you've considered a low-carb, keto, or carnivore lifestyle - or if you've tried everything else without success - give me a shout. There's no obligation and this could be the start of your dawn.
A Quick Note...
I am a mentor sharing my personal experience and the tools that worked for me. I am not a medical professional or a nutritionist. I always recommend consulting with your doctor before making significant changes to your diet or lifestyle.
